CAROLYN EIDE

I’m Carolyn Eide, the superintendent at Tioga Public Schools. I began my fourteenth year as a superintendent in 2014. Before moving to Tioga in 2014, I held superintendent positions in Iowa and South Dakota. I was a high school principal in South Dakota and prior to being an administrator, I taught K-12 vocal and instrumental music for thirteen years in South Dakota and Kansas. I am originally from Volga, South Dakota, located seven miles west of Brookings. I graduated from South Dakota State University, and I am a Jackrabbit! I also earned a master’s degree from Kansas State University and an educational specialist’s degree from North Dakota State University. My husband, Bob, works for Northrup Grumman in Leavenworth, Kansas. We have two children. Christine McCorkle and her husband live in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where she is a bank examiner. Our son, Greg, is a band director at Deuel Schools in Clear Lake, South Dakota. Bob and I recently became grandparents to Katelyn June McCorkle on July 25.I enjoy spending time with family, walking, and working on crafts. I am excited to be in Tioga and look forward to helping with the building projects, funding issues, curriculum, and doing what is best for our kids here! Please stop by and say hello-my door is always open.
