It is not ideal for a student to have 5 Semester Tests in a day, but it is also not ideal to have those tests wait until a January return. No students should be in the situation where they have 5 core, academic tests scheduled with the new schedule. Flexibility will be exercised by classroom teachers to accommodate student needs.
We know we will be missing many students for activities (Wrestling, BBB, Gymnastics) Friday who have tests yet to take. Students will work with teachers to take exams prior to early dismissal, where possible, or schedule them at an opportunity that works for both student and teacher. Exams not taken prior to the extended break, will be made up, as necessary, when we return to start semester two in January. We will also be flexible as to not overwhelm students over-testing on a single day.
This is not a good scenario, but working together, we can conquer the challenge!

Tioga Schools will not have school today (Thursday, December 19th) due to weather and road conditions. There will also be no after school activities.

Tioga Schools will have a two-hour late start tomorrow (Thursday, December 19th) and breakfast will not be served. We will evaluate the weather again in the morning regarding the rest of the day.

Reminder: The K-1 Christmas Program is today at 2:00 PM at Central. Doors #1, #2, and #8 will open at 1:30 PM. As school will still be in session, we kindly ask everyone to remain in the gym area. The program will also be livestreamed on our Facebook Live page. Thank you!

The Tioga FFA had their first meeting of the year yesterday evening at the Tioga Ambulance Hall. We discussed everything that our chapter had done at the National Convention & Expo, WLC, District LDE Day, and heard reports from our officers that included a fruit sale and budget report and upcoming events. Our members had a great time seeing what was available to them through the FFA and our chapter all while enjoying a meal and treats together. After our meeting was adjourned, our members took part in a service project where we made tie blankets to donate to The Stray Sanctuary. Members and guests also brought items that the sanctuary had asked for as donations which included laundry and cleaning supplies and pet food. Overall, the Tioga FFA is proud to report that our first meeting of the year was a success! We had 20 members, advisors, and guests present. Our officer team and members are now looking forward to competing in events at State LDE day in Bismarck on January 7th and our next meeting, which will be on January 20th.

The Tioga FFA Chapter is having our first chapter meeting of the year this Thursday, December 12. All members are welcome at the meeting, where there will be a provided meal, an Italian soda bar, hot chocolate, and a service project to follow. We will review business such as District 1 LDE Day results, State LDE Day competitors, fruit sale reports, and more! We will also be hearing from a representative from the Stray Sanctuary at the end of our meeting.
We will make tie blankets for our chapter service project to donate to The Stray Sanctuary. We also ask that members bring an item (or more) from the list of donation items on the flyer provided by The Stray Sanctuary. If you'd like to donate an item and you're not a member, then we are more than happy to accept them! Drop off your items at the THS office before December 12, and our FFA chapter will make sure they get to The Stray Sanctuary.
