FILING DEADLINE FOR SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION
The deadline for filing to have a candidate’s name printed on the ballot for the Tioga Public School District is April 7, 2025 by 4:00 p.m. Two members are up for election for a three year term each.
A candidate for a school district office must turn in the completed Affidavit of Candidacy and SFN 10172 Statement of Interests to Ronda Rudnik, School Business Manager, by the above deadline. Forms may be obtained from the school district office
The Lady Pirates defeated the Surrey Mustangs in a hard fought contest 59-52 earlier this evening. The Pirates will be taking on the Berthold Bombers tomorrow night at 6pm at the Four Bears Event Center.
This Saturday, 3/1, the PE program will host another Family PE Night. This time around the theme is Yard Games! We will have all sorts of games set up for the whole family. Doors will be open from 2 to 6 p.m. at Central.
Congratulations to all of our Firestorm wrestlers! We have two State Champions this year along with two State-Runner ups! Congrats to our Champions at 145 pounds Kash Brown and Rocker Aguilar at 172. Tristan Miller finished 2nd at 114 along with Matthew Jacobs at 285. Late this afternoon we saw Ashton Weathersby take home 7th place at 187. Jazmine also finished 7th as well in her class as well!
The Firestorm also finished in 2nd place as a team! Awesome job these past two days and good luck in Team Duels tomorrow beginning at 10am.
The Williams County Spelling Bee was held yesterday, and Central had a student who placed! Congratulations to Julie Issel from 2nd grade for earning 2nd place in the competition. Tioga High School had Easton Rehak in 7th grade place 3rd. A big shoutout to all the students who competed and proudly represented Central and Tioga High School. Way to go, PIRATES!

Central Elementary has partnered with OnTime Sports to provide shirts for our students and staff while also raising funds for our playground, lyceum, and field trip programs. The Williams County Firestorm had an excellent day one! Four of our wrestlers (Tristan, Kash, Rocker, Matthew) are going for a state championship late this afternoon/evening! We also have five wrestlers in action this morning/afternoon (Kase, Walker, Levi, Jeremiah, Ashton) to get into the placing rounds.
Also, after day one, the Firestorm are sitting in first place with 104 points followed by South Border with 95, New Salem-Almont 90 and Velva 84.

Last week, our FBLA members had an exciting opportunity to tour NCC and Pour Some Sugar Custom Cakes in Ray! They gained valuable insight into each business, explored the facilities, and met the incredible employees behind the scenes.
Not only did they come home with some awesome NCC swag, but they also enjoyed some delicious sweet treats along the way!

It’s National FFA week and the Tioga FFA went to Ms Richard’s kindergarten class today to make tractors for their lockers. They will be going to Mrs Germundson’s class on Friday
Tioga Schools does plan to run buses tomorrow (Wednesday, February 19th) in the morning and afternoon.
This week is National FFA Week! Help the Tioga FFA Chapter celebrate with four dress-up days and scavenger hunts throughout the week!
Tioga Schools will be in session tomorrow (Tuesday, February 18th) with regular start time. However, due to extreme cold weather, bus transportation will not be provided.
