Out with the old. In with the new! The THS stage curtains were replaced today. Not only were the front curtains and valance replaced, but there is also now a full black backdrop setup on the stage. We are very thankful for what is now the third set of stage curtains in THS history.

A couple of notes concerning activities this week.
There will be home Boys Basketball games on Monday with Trinity Christian. These games have been rescheduled from January 11th. The JH game will start at 4:30 followed by the JV then Varsity.
On Tuesday, the Girls Basketball JV and Varsity girls will play at home against Berthold. The start times are earlier than normal with the JV game at 4:30 and Varsity game around 6:00.
Come on out and support the Pirates as the teams head in to their Christmas break!

This year's 7th graders decided to make their clay ornaments for our police department. From donuts, dogs, and evidence bags, to service weapons and communication devices, these crafty art students produced many creative (and well-executed) ideas! Thank you for your service Tioga PD!!
Central Parents:
The fundraiser items have been dropped off here at Central. We are getting them organized, sorted and ready to go out. They will be ready to be picked up by the main office (door #1) in the lunchroom. We will offer the following pick-up times: Today from 3:30-5:30pm, Sunday from 1:00-3:00pm or Monday during School. Please make sure they are picked up by Monday, December 20th.
Make sure to grab your items and a packing slip from Steph.
Thanks to all the students and parents for helping with the fundraiser. The students did great. They made over $10,000 from the fundraiser. We used some of that money to buy a second gaga ball pit. We also plan to add a volleyball net to the outside playground this spring. Also, thanks for all the people that bought items from students at Central.
If for some reason you did not receive an item, it is damaged, or prize was not in package. I will need students name and items. Today, December 16, 2021, the Tioga School District has been informed of an anonymous general threat against all schools across the entire United States via TikTok. Our School Resource Officer has been in contact with the school; he has not found any valid or supporting information that Tioga Schools or its students are being threatened or are in danger.
Please encourage your child to report any threat or safety concern that they hear or see online to an adult in school or at home. The district also uses the StopIt! Bullying app where threats can be report anonymously. Those reports are investigated by school personnel, and are turned over to law enforcement, if necessary.
Thank you for helping our students and staff remain safe in our school and community.

The Great Plains Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry will be stopping in Wildrose and Ray on December 29th and Tioga on December 30th.
Hunger is an issue that we can do something about. Here are several ways you can help:
Volunteer! Volunteers are CRITICAL right now – we need you!
REGISTER HERE! Once you are registered you can sign up for a slot at a Mobile Food Pantry near you!
Spread the word! Post the flyers around town, share the attached JPG on your social media networks, or talk about the events with those you know!
Respond and share to Facebook event links to get updates and reminders!
Anyone in need of food assistance from any community is welcome to attend! We will ask clients to complete a short intake form onsite, then drive through the distribution line. We will ask clients to remain in their vehicles at all times and wear masks while interacting with staff and volunteers. We welcome those who cannot attend to designate someone to pick up for them. Volunteers will be asked to sanitize, wear masks, and follow social distancing guidelines.

Congratulations to the Tioga JV Girls’ Basketball team on taking first place at the Trenton JV Tournament! They fought hard in the Championship and won 44-41!
