Dear Central Parents, As we head into the colder months, we want to remind you of the importance of proper outdoor clothing for your children. Morning recess and other outdoor activities will continue throughout the day, as fresh air and physical activity are essential for students' well-being. Please ensure your child comes to school with a warm coat, hat, gloves, and, when necessary, snow pants and boots. Open footwear such as Crocs and slides are not suitable for outdoor use; please avoid sending children to school with these items. Additionally, we ask that students have a pair of indoor shoes to change into, as wearing snow boots inside the school is not ideal. Outdoor recess will be held as long as the temperature is -10 degrees or higher. On days when the temperature drops below -10 degrees, recess will take place indoors. If you need assistance with obtaining proper winter clothing, please contact your child’s classroom teacher or Mr. Schaffer. Thank you for your cooperation!
