PowerSchool Incident Update 1/24/25
PowerSchool has confirmed they will be notifying impacted individuals within ND school districts using email addresses that were on file within Tioga’s PowerSchool system. Other notices will be distributed in the coming days. All individuals will be referred to an incident website and call center once it is operational.
Tioga Public School District will pass along any information as it comes available.

A cherished member of our Pirate family, Laykas Johnson, has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoma. During this difficult time, we ask that you keep Laykas and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
To help support them, the Tioga Lions Club is hosting a Pancake Feed on Sunday, February 9th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Tioga High School.
This is a free-will donation event, and the proceeds will go towards Laykas' medical bills. Let’s come together as a community and show Laykas and his family how much they mean to us.

We encourage families to use this calendar as a guide when planning appointments, vacations, and other activities. Minimizing absences helps ensure students can make the most of their learning opportunities and stay on track throughout the year. Please note there are early release days for teacher professional development.

We’d like to congratulate Brennan Johnson on setting the Tioga High School Boy’s Basketball career scoring record today in the team’s game vs Drake/Anamoose. Brennan broke the record previously held by Aaron Lucht of 1,237 points. He had 36 points today to power the Pirates to another victory. Congratulations, Brennan!
The Tioga Tech Team is competing today in Minot at their first Qualifier of the year!

We would like to wish Katie Haakenson the best of luck as she is participating in an Interational Indoor Softball tournament known as The Cup, taking place in the Netherlands at Schiedam.
Katie was chosen to participate on one of 16 teams selected from athletes throughout the world. Good luck Katie! Have fun and enjoy this incredible experience!
The State JV Wrestling Tournament being held this weekend in Carrington has been cancelled.

The Cyber Madness virtual play-in round has begun this morning and our team is on a roll! Watch the scoreboard between now and Saturday to see how we end up. The top 20 teams will head to Bismarck next month for the finals!

Central students that met their 2nd quarter AR goals went sledding today. Had great temperature, but of course the wind was blowing. That didn't stop the students from enjoying their time on the hill.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported the FCCLA/FBLA "Baby Shower" supply drive for the Dakota Hope Clinic! The generosity has been overwhelming. We were blessed with a surplus of baby/maternity supplies and nearly $600 in monetary/gift card donations.
The support will make a significant difference in the lives of many families. We are truly grateful for the kindness and commitment to our community.
This morning at Central we had a first. During PE class Carson Placek earned his black belt for the Jump Rope Ninja Challenge on the first day of the Jump Rope Unit! Carson had to complete 965 jumps to earn each of his belts and did it in under 30 minutes.
Every year at Central each grade spends 4 class periods on the Jump Rope Ninja Challenge where they work to earn belts by completing a certain number of consecutive jumps for each level of belt. Each year about 10 students, grades K-6, earn a black belt. Carson is now the first person to do it in a single class period. Congratulations Carson!
Next Saturday, January 25th, is Nerf Night at Central from 2 to 6 p.m. Nerf blasters, darts, and eye protection will be provided. We will be set up in Central's gymnasium, and door #1 will open at 2.
