Tioga School District is seeking input from community members concerning the newest round of ESSER II and ESSER III funding that is available to the school. These funds must be spent in the following ways: at least 20% is to be spent on assisting students in catching up on learning loss during the shutdown. The remainder is to be spent on additional expenses due to COVID. Technology upgrades, expenses for additional salaries to assist in cleaning and aide help, disposable supplies for lunch, purification systems, etc. are examples of how the funding can be spent. Please contact Supt. Carolyn Eide to provide input at (701) 664-2333. The plan is to be submitted to the state no later than June 30, 2021, and it will be discussed at the June 17, 2021 school board meeting which is open to the public. All are welcome to attend.

Central Parents, Attached you will find a copy of a flyer that your son/daughter will bring home tomorrow along with their Final Report Card, Final STAR Math/ELA report and grades 3-6 NDSA report for Math/ELA. The program is called Edmentum. It is a program that will guide your child through Math/ELA/Reading lessons/activities. We are very happy with the gains and growth that our students made during the school year here at Central, but we know there is always room for improvement. This program was paid for by the State and we will be able to continue the use of this program for the next two years. We used your students STAR data to place them, and they will continue a learning path that is set for their needs. It is recommended 15-30 minutes for each subject area 2-3 times a week. Of course, the more they are using the program the more growth to expect. It is not mandatory, but this is an opportunity for your son/daughter to improve their skills this summer in the areas of math/reading and ELA. We will also still have two online libraries available to Central students during the summer (again they have username/passwords): MyOn and Tumblebooks Central students will also still have access to MobyMax, Edgenuity and ALEKS. Again, they have usernames and passwords. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Schaffer at 701-664-3441 or email tim.schaffer@k12.nd.us thanks

At THS tomorrow, students will need to pay band bills, outstanding lunch bills from past years, senior sweatshirts for those that have ordered and not paid, library book payment for those not returned, textbook replacement fees, and any other outstanding bills. All uniforms, Chromebooks and chargers, text books, band instruments, and library books need to be returned unless arrangements have been made with teachers. Lockers need to be cleaned out. We also have lost and found items at school which will be donated if not claimed. Thanks for a good year! See you August 19!
