Friday Night Lights! THS is joining in. We will be turning on the football field lights at THS on Friday, April 3rd from 7:00-9:30PM as a way to honor our students, staff, and community members in this time of distance learning while school buildings are closed due to COVID-19 concerns. These lights are a symbol of hope and an assurance that you students are in our hearts and on our minds. Thanks for other ND and Minnesota schools for sharing the idea and joining in! Keep Sailing Pirates!

Just a reminder-The North Dakota Dept of Health is asking schools to send out a reminder about our responsibility as citizens. We've heard this dozens of times, but it bears repeating: It is critical for you to take preventive action for your health and for the community: *Wash your hands frequently with soap. No soap-use a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol content. *Avoid touching your T-zone (eyes, nose, mouth) *Practice social distancing. Avoid groups with more than 10 people. Use drive-though, pickup, or delivery. *Work from home when possible. *Stay home if you are sick. *Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw it in the trash and wash your hands. No tissue-cough or sneeze in your elbow. *Clean and disinfect frequently touch objects and surfaces. *Stay away from individuals who are sick. Stay 6 feet away from others as much as possible. Please, please, please follow these recommendations for our community. Stay home. Stay well, and thank you.

Central Elementary is closing the playground effective immediately. Please do not send children to the playground, we cannot guarantee that they are germ-free, nor could we gatherings to ensure compliance with guidelines. We will have signs to stay off until further notice and hope this serves as a reminder to stick to outdoor activites that don't involve surfaces that can spread the virus. We still encourage our students to be active...Thanks

We are encouraging parents to sign their children up for Grab-Bag lunches. You can pick them up outside of Central on Monday-Friday from 11:30-12:30. Guidelines are on the letter, and there is a form to complete and sign if you are asking someone else to pick up lunches for you. We've had a great turnout-thank our fabulous cooks!

Happy Friday! We encourage families to participate in our Grab-Bag lunches as it is NOT income-based. If you choose to do so, please call 664-2333. Once you sign up,we assume you’ll eat every day. If, after you sign up, you change your mind, call the school or tell a cook that you won’t participate anymore. We hate to waste food! Thanks so much! Stay home. Stay well!

Good Morning Tioga High School! This is a lot different, but school is resuming session. Developing a daily routine is going to be a challenge during these strange times. Personal accountability and responsibility are at a new level. Make good decisions and we will be able to work our way through the bumps in the road. All students need to be logging in to their piratek12.org email addresses and accepting the invites to classes that may have been added to Classroom. Your teachers are to be contacting you by tomorrow. Many of them have materials posted for you already. Communication is going to be vital for your success. Talk to your teachers! Let them know if you have multiple classes over-scheduling each other. I would rather not move to using our master schedule so that all students would be occupied from 8:40-3:35, but we may have to go to a modified master schedule if we are not able to work together. We've got this! Don't get frustrated by the challenge. Embrace change. This is new for everybody, including our staff. Be flexible. Get up! Get going! Keep Sailing! If your teacher is using seesaw. This is how students can add all of our classes to one device. Underneath their name they just hit “join a class” and scan their code. This way they can toggle between classes and not have to sign in and out each time. Might be helpful to send to parents!
