Good Morning Tioga High School! This is a lot different, but school is resuming session. Developing a daily routine is going to be a challenge during these strange times. Personal accountability and responsibility are at a new level. Make good decisions and we will be able to work our way through the bumps in the road. All students need to be logging in to their piratek12.org email addresses and accepting the invites to classes that may have been added to Classroom. Your teachers are to be contacting you by tomorrow. Many of them have materials posted for you already. Communication is going to be vital for your success. Talk to your teachers! Let them know if you have multiple classes over-scheduling each other. I would rather not move to using our master schedule so that all students would be occupied from 8:40-3:35, but we may have to go to a modified master schedule if we are not able to work together. We've got this! Don't get frustrated by the challenge. Embrace change. This is new for everybody, including our staff. Be flexible. Get up! Get going! Keep Sailing! If your teacher is using seesaw. This is how students can add all of our classes to one device. Underneath their name they just hit “join a class” and scan their code. This way they can toggle between classes and not have to sign in and out each time. Might be helpful to send to parents!

A 5:00 view of what's been happening the last couple of days. It's all ready to go! Each student will be getting a CashWise tote with most of their supplies. These can then be reused to support CashWise as they have been there to support us. "Come and get it" and "we will deliver" tomorrow. Thanks to all of the staff members that helped.

Central Parents, we will have pick up tomorrow (Wednesday, March 25th, 2020) starting at 10am. We will have you pick up at Door # 9 or #10, these doors are located on the gym (Benson street). We will have aides by the door and they will get your child’s things and bring to you. If you have multiple children, you can pick up at one time. We are asking parents to pick up at the following times: grades k-1 @ 10-11am, grades 2-3 at 11am-12pm, and grades 4-6 at 12-1pm. Please practice social distancing while waiting outside the building. We will also have tables located outside with lost and found items, what is not picked up will be washed and donated. We will have boxes/totes by door #1 for library books, bookmobile books, rec wrestling singlets, basketball practice jersey/shorts/game jersey to be dropped off. If you are a bus student, we will have bus drivers drive their routes and drop off items. You will also be able to give bus drivers library books, bookmobile books, wrestling singlets and basketball jerseys/shorts/practice jerseys to bring back. If bus parents plan to pick up their student’s items, please let bus drivers know. If you are not able to pick up items please contact your classroom teacher or the school, so we can make arrangements. Teachers will be making contact to you about expectations by Friday, March 27th, if they haven’t already.

THS 7-12 Students: I will post pics later, but you should see our cafeteria right now! Thanks to a great crew, all of your lockers have been cleaned out (which will make that process easier for everyone later hopefully). We are prepared for pickup tomorrow (10-11 for grades 11 & 12, 11-12 for grades 9 & 10, and 12-1:00 for grades 7 & 8) and afternoon bus route delivery. Those time frames will help us, but come when available between 10:00-1:00 if able please. Textbooks, FCS projects, Art projects, Ag projects, band instruments; it seems like everything is leaving but the kitchen sink. It is really weird. But expect a load when you show up. Please plan to pull up parallel to the curb out the main entrance (similar to bus loading) and we will plan to deliver your materials to you in your vehicles, one, two, or three at a time. If a line forms, we will extend that to the west parking lot (out the cafeteria doors). You will not be able to enter the building. Let us offer curbside delivery please. We have probably over-packed supplies for many of you but trust that you will return materials to the school as check-in is needed - hopefully when we are back in school in the building. You may be missing some materials, but everything we have from your lockers, classrooms, etc. that we know of is packed. If you are missing materials, check what you had brought home Friday, March 13th, in backpacks, vehicles, etc. THIS IS ESPECIALLY TRUE FOR CHROMEBOOKS AND CHARGE CABLES! We packed what we could find. If a Chromebook comes home with no charger, check your backpack, etc. to make sure that you do not have it. If you need something, call me at the school (664-3606) starting on THURSDAY, and we will try to make arrangements to get things to you. There is value in making sure you keep track of your charge cords as well. Please make an attempt to do so. We may be running very low on charge cables as several have been misplaced, etc. If you have extra materials to return, bring them with and drop them off. We have NOT packed up any materials from the PE locker rooms at this time. As we learn more about how long we may be out of the building, we will look to do a lockerroom pickup as well, but would like you involved in that process. If something essential is needed, call on THURSDAY and we will try to work through that. Please be checking your piratek12.org emails as well as your k12.nd.us accounts. Your teaching staff has done a tremendous job on short notice in preparation to continue with distance education! You have messages waiting in Google Classroom as well as in Teams. Use what formats you have been using in classes, and look for announcements from your teachers on what may have changed. Many of your classes are already in the mode for a soft rollout and you should be reached by all teachers by Friday. Full scale learning has a hard deadline of April 1st. Missing you all and hoping you are doing your part! I am going to have classroom teachers send home a seesaw form that will show you exactly what to do to set up your students account.
