For tonight's volleyball game vs Stanley you will need the following to attend: a printed out ticket that was given to one of the volleyball players or reserved for game officials. Your activity ticket alone will not get you into the game this evening. We are limited to 250 in our gym. This includes our players, Stanley's, Stanley parents, refs, line judges, and other officials. The 250 capacity will also be in effect for the Tuesday game vs Divide County. Tuesday's game will be carried by BEK TV. We also are broadcasting our games through NFHS. For $10 a month you can get a subscription for every Pirate game, even those on the road.

We have started the free meals at Tioga Schools, and all meals, from August 31 to December 31 or when the money is gone, are free. Meals from August 20-August 28 will need to be paid for if your children don't qualify for free or reduced meals. Distance learning students that would like free breakfast and lunch need to call (701) 664-3441 to sign up. For more information, call Mrs. Eide at (701) 664-2333.

Due to Williams County being moved to the yellow category on Friday our maximum gym capacity allowed for Thursday's game vs Stanley is 250. This 250 includes players, stats and refs. Our plan during this time is to give tickets to each player's immediate family and also 2 tickets to each visiting player. We are going to be asking that junior high players and parents leave after your child's game so that everyone is able to attend their child's game. If we do have tickets left they will be distributed on a first come basis.

Many schools have been posting about free meals for students. The USDA has re-started the Summer Program which means all students will eat for free. Tioga will participate with free breakfast and lunch for K-12 students. Details are unclear as to how far back we can go in giving free meals and how long the program will be in effect. Right now, it is due to expire in December or when the money runs out, whichever is first. It seems that now all meals for K-12 students are free so please share this with others. More information will be available when we receive it. Distance learning students will be able to participate starting on Tuesday, September 8. We ask that you call the school to get signed up, and we will run it as we did in the spring and summer. The time for pickup may change, and we will be giving out information next week about this. Right now, we are NOT serving any preschool or homeschooled children. Thank you. No school on Monday.

The football game at DLB will be played in Des Lacs. As of now there are no restrictions in place. They are encouraging social distancing and masks but masks are not required. Good luck Pirates!

The Lady Pirate's Volleyball team will have their home opener tonight against the Ray Jays. JH matches begin at 3:00 to be followed by C squad, JV, and Varsity matches. We do have a capacity of 500 people including players, coaches, officials, etc. in the gym. We ask fans for their cooperation in trying to maintain social distancing and general health standards. If you are ill, please stay home. If we need to make room for parents to be able to attend the JV/Varsity matches, those that were present to watch JH matches would be very supportive in exiting to allow the same for varsity parents. There will not be kitchen concessions served. The Letterpersons' pop, popcorn, and candy concessions will be open. The games will be available to watch via the NFHSNetwork. Pirates win 28-8 over Stanley tonight. Good job tonight!!!

The football field is in great shape and along with coaches and players, we are ready for a Monday Night Football double header with Stanley High School on Monday, August 31st. The JH game will begin at 5:00 as scheduled. There will not be a JV game. And the varsity game will begin sometime around 7:00-7:30 depending on when the JH game completes. The varsity players will not be able to work the JH game as they normally would so we may be looking for some help with the chains for the JH game. Maybe some JH football dads would like to help us out there? Both games will be broadcast on the NFHS network. To watch the games, please go to https://www.nfhsnetwork.com . It is unclear right now if we will be able to forgo the subscription procedure as used last year. We all wish we were able to see both teams at full strength. The Tioga Schools had a student test positive for COVID-19 on Friday, August 28. Cleaning has since been completed, and the infected person is following North Dakota Health guidelines concerning isolation and is not in school now. The school had been in contact with the ND Department of Health and following their guidelines. We have been advised that we can continue school. Continue to take your child's temperature twice a day and monitor for other symptomes. Take care! Thank you for your support.
